The photos show the New generation Dicla Eco Tilapia System project progress. The site is in Kwazulu Natal and is a CSR Private company development. The company intends to showcase Tilapia farming, train youth within the communities and provide fresh fish to enhance protein intake and food security.
The site will be completed in the next month or two and further progress pictures will be posted.
The site is new generation as Gabion Baskets and Dicla Eco Tilapia strive together to innovate and improve the Dicla Eco Tilapia System. The new module allows for fish to be intensively farmed in a controlled environment. The systems unique stock management and husbandry techniques will allow weekly harvest of 5000 fresh whole plate size fish which will be readily available from farm to plate.
The next step, under development and investigation is to allow this system to lead into a fully functional auquaphonic system, watch this space for further information. Very interesting stuff.
