Gabion Baskets is a privately owned company with a 50% shareholding owned by the managing director of Scaw Metals. We have an integrated manufacturing process where our raw materials are produced by Scaw Metals and then supplied to us.

Gabion Baskets started in June 2006 and has been operational since then, initially just doing woven mesh Gabions and Geotextiles. Since then, we have diversified into quite a few different fields. This video is just an overview of the existing products and services that we currently offer. We manufacture all of our materials in Bramley, Johannesburg and we distribute them from here into Southern Africa. We have a full range of different services. We assist with on-site visits and technical proposals. We travel around South Africa doing this. We also supply the Gabions and offer full technical training and on-site installations.
