GABION MODELS

We make small gabion and River mattress models to show the product up close and for installation guidance and use.

We have found the use of minuture gabion and mattress models to be an excellent way of showing the use of our products. They are made in JHB and we use them to show the installation methodology in a very simple and easily understood way. Kindly contact us should you wish to order some, a small range is currently available from our Johannesburg office.

We use a 13mm hexagonal bird netting mesh, with thin wire used for the lacing and salvaging. Which is cut and made by hand to size and displays all the various components of a gabion or river mattress product. I used to import these from Brasil, however then managed to source the mesh and a talented manufacturer of the minuture baskets locally, a Malawean guy, we then started making them in Durban – South Africa at the time in 1994. I can even remember exporting a box full of different size gabions models to Europe previously for one of the top gabion manufactures in Europe at that time. We look forward to showing you our gabion models, and you are welcome to visit our factory where the full size materials are are made in Johannesburg.

We can indeed offer specialist experienced installers, or supply an experienced trainer to site.

We offer full technical product knowledge and PowerPoint technical training and presentations.

Do you visit site and offer advice?

We certainly can visit site, for which we charge a small fee to cover expenses for the site visit, full design (if required) and quotation.

Do you offer site practical support / training?

We visit sites we needed, for friendly advice and also offer full site practical training for our products.

Do you deliver products to sites with rock?

We can supply our range of products, including the whole range, with rock supplied separately to site, to make your buying process easier.

Do you have information on the correct applications and installation guidance for your products?

We have a few options for getting the knowledge to install our materials, having a YouTube website channel, called Gabionbaskets, where we show installation videos and animations as well as printed A4 sheets showing the correct installation process. For applications we show some on our website, kindly contact us for more information in this regard.
