Retaining walls are extremely popular for holding back unstable embankments. Many different types of retaining walls are available, using bricks, concrete blocks, tyres, stabilized soil, wooden logs, etc. We specialise in the design and use of Gabion Baskets for retaining walls. The application uses our range of different sized baskets which are laid together, on a layer of geotextile, and laced together to form a structure that is monolithic and harmonious with nature, often using local rock and soil infill to encourage vegetation growth.
Local unskilled people can be used to erect Gabion retaining walls which are shown by our site trainer how to install the products quickly and neatly. Or if you have little time for this we can also present you with a skilled gabion installation contractor who can supply the necessary materials and undertake the full design and installation process for you. He has the knowledge time and experience to do the work quickly and neatly, so the outcome is adjusted to meet, if not exceed your expectations.
We offer a full design and advisory service, visiting the site, doing the full technical design, bill of quantity estimate, and pricing for the works as is required.
There are six main types of retaining walls shown below, depending on the local site conditions. We can advise which application would suit your site best, with appropriate reason for doing so.
