The focus of this endeavour is the construction of a retaining wall using 50x50x3mm welded mesh gabion baskets. Implementing this method for its durability and aesthetic appeal stabilises the sloped terrain and prevents soil erosion, a common challenge in the hilly regions of KwaZulu-Natal.
